Everytime I hear about urban sprawl and bad planning ruining soil quality and nearby rural areas it drives me even more to save the city. This photo was titled dark clouds over the urban forest of Toronto. We should have more community gardens, rooftop gardens and green spaces. How do you convince people to leave the idea of a big yard and a detached house? The yards are a metrer square and the houses are half a meter away from your neighbor anyways!
On the weekend I drove down to Brampton, I took this route Chris and I would always take. It would cut through the outskirts of Mississauga, through a little town and along some farm fields. It was always such a calming drive, now they’re lined with these “estates” that are really just bigger houses with no backyards. Along with the houses are the shopping centers for the “community”.
Friiiiig. UGH. Environmental rant. Please Greenhere, hire me please! I can save the davenport neighborhood.
